Jeff Hunter was born and raised in Ontario Canada….Spending the majority of his life in Northern Ontario, despite living near Toronto Canada for 7 years due to university and work. Powersports has been in his blood from a very young age due to a family owned full line Yamaha dealership in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario Canada (H&S Outdoor Equipment Ltd.).While away in university, Jeff continued his work within the industry, finding employment with another Yamaha dealership to gain experience outside of his family business, while also working with Yamaha at motorcycle and snowmobile trade shows along the way. After University Jeff spent a few years with Parts Canada , the Canadian arm of Parts Unlimited, working inside and at the various trade shows for them as well.
Despite his busy schedule, he also found the time for his other love - Racing. Starting in the sno-cross scene in 2000 Jeff raced for Yamaha Canada in the very competitive CSRA/ASRA series within Canada and Michigan. Jeff returned to racing following university, and did so in an all year round effort, concentrating on sno-cross in the winter as well as ATV motocross in the summer. Finding help from Yamaha Motor Corp USA for his efforts in the MSXRA Snocross circuit and many other sponsors for his summer efforts in the CMRC/AMA. He currently can be found at the track on the weekends or helping run his family’s dealership H&S Outdoor Equipment Ltd, not to mention he has now just recently signed on to be a team test rider and writer for non other than PowerSport TV!
